Julie's Story
Julie Harmon, Ph.D., is a psychologist and nationally recognized leader in violence prevention and empowerment-based education, with over 35 years of experience developing trauma-informed, skills-based safety curricula. As Director and President of IMPACT Safety, she leads the design and delivery of programs that build interpersonal safety, boundary-setting, and self-advocacy skills across diverse populations, including trauma survivors and individuals with disabilities.
She brings deep expertise in educational psychology, counseling, social work systems, organizational development, and trauma healing. Julie has consulted with the National Institute of Corrections and trained professionals across the U.S. and internationally.
Julie supports curriculum development and facilitates PAVE trainings, integrating trauma-informed practice, emotional safety, and applied interpersonal skills to ensure content is both accessible and actionable.
